Portraits done in oil, pastel and charcoal. Formal and informal portraits, individuals, families, children and pets.

Emphasis is on a comfortable setting and the use of as much natural light as possible. Portrait sittings are set either in the sitter's home environment or the artist's studio. The time frame would be from 3 to 6 sittings, with each sitting lasting from 2 to 3 hours per session (including breaks). Portraits commissioned from photographs are also possible, if time constraints or sitters who cannot sit still (children and pets) discourage live sittings. Decisions on location and dates for portrait sittings are reached by mutual agreement, based on the artist's and sitter's schedules.

Portrait commission involves an initial session during which the artist will sketch the sitter, discuss pose, clothing and background, and take reference photographs. Based on these materials and discussions the artist and client will make a decision on the final pose. If the portrait is commissioned from a photograph produced by the client, the client will be shown the actual portrait already in progress. The work time frame is dependent on sitting schedules and size/complexity of composition.

Pricing based on materials, number of subjects, size and complexity of composition. Framing is not included. Transportation costs related to the commission and the shipping of the final painting are to be paid for by the client.

Single-sitter portrait pricing starts from 200 € in charcoal, 300 € in watercolour, 600 € in oil. Animal portrait pricing starts from 90 € in charcoal, 180 € in watercolour, 400 € in oil.
